Ann Arbor City Council's unanimous ceasefire resolution, approved at their meeting of January 11, 2024:

On January 12, 2024, MLive (the Ann Arbor News) reported on the Ann Arbor City Council's unanimous ceasefire resolution.
Many speakers at the City Council meeting confirmed that a resolution for ceasefire alone is really the bare minimum.
-- So we will see you at the same City Council on Monday, 1/22/2024, at 7 pm, when we will ask for a resolution against military aid to Israel.
-- We object to funding Israel as it kills another 30,000 Palestinian people in Gaza.
-- Richmond City Council has already approved a resolution opposing all military aid to Israel.

A brief excerpt from the article:
"Ann Arbor has joined a growing list of cities calling for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas…
"After the 11-0 vote, the council chambers erupted with cheers and applause from community members, some chanting, 'From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!'
"Ann Arbor residents Blaine Coleman and Mozhgan Savabieasfahani, who have been speaking out on the issue at council meetings for many years, participated in the celebration, holding signs stating, 'We are against military aid to Israel' and 'Stop funding genocide.' ”
