Neither Mayor Christopher Taylor nor Ann Arbor City Council should ever again stonewall my resolution against military aid to Israel. They already have the blood of thousands of Palestinians on their hands, and Election Day is coming.

My message to the Ann Arbor City Council:

First take a good look at your Mayor Taylor in my political opinion cartoon below -

Neither Mayor Christopher Taylor nor Ann Arbor City Council should ever again stonewall my resolution against military aid to Israel.

You already have the blood of thousands of Palestinians on your hands. Don’t make it worse, because Election Day is coming.

I will tell you that to your face tonight, Monday, November 6th, at the Ann Arbor City Council meeting, during Public Comment, at 7:00 PM, on the 2nd floor of Ann Arbor City Hall, 301 East Huron Street, Ann Arbor.

I will demand that you put my very basic Palestinian human rights resolution on your agenda, and that you vote your conscience. If your conscience dictates that you stand with Israel’s genocidal bombardment of Gaza, then say so and resign.

Here is my resolution again:

"We are against military aid to Israel."

Aside from the gigantic death toll in Gaza, which is mostly children and women, here are five more reasons to publicly separate yourself from Biden's genocide on Gaza.

Reason #1. Know that the Richmond, California City Council has voted overwhelmingly for a resolution against military aid to Israel, a resolution which also points out that Israel is committing ethnic cleansing:

Reason #2. Know that your own Ann Arbor Interfaith Council for Peace & Justice (ICPJ) just declared, on October 19, 2023:

“…We oppose the Israeli government’s ongoing, devastating destruction and blockade in Gaza, and its decades of dehumanizing apartheid policies.
“As people of conscience we call for an immediate ceasefire and disinvestment of the US in military aid to the Israeli government… No genocide funded in our name, with our taxes.”

The ICPJ's whole statement is here:

Reason #3. Know that 300,000 people just marched on Washington against military aid to Israel, and against Israel’s genocidal bombardment of the population in Gaza:

Reason #4. Know that major Israeli military and civil officials have been broadcasting their genocidal intent.

-- For example, an Israeli cabinet minister just said that "there are no non-combatants in Gaza".

-- He also said that one way to deal with the Gaza Strip would be a nuclear attack.

-- He also stated that the Gaza Strip has no right to exist, and that anyone waving a Palestinian flag "shouldn't continue living on the face of the earth".

Reason #5. You already know that Israel was a close ally of Apartheid South Africa, even offering them nuclear weapons.

Isn’t it high time that you voted for my resolution against military aid to Israel?

It's not hard to understand:

"We are against military aid to Israel."
