This comes a few weeks after Israeli forces shot their way into Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, destroying its emergency clinic, stained glass windows, etc., and inflicting violence and arrest on a large number of Palestinian worshippers:

At least five U.S. city councils have approved resolutions opposing military aid to Israel - The Richmond City Council resolution which  "opposes all existing and any future military aid to Israel".
